TigrayGenocide resulted in the disabilities of thousands of children. One of the targets of DEKNA is exploring opportunities and researching best ways of supporting disabled children. The research aims to answer different aspects of those supportive materials such as: affordable cost, ease of production, production cost, and convenience. The team has achieved remarkable results so far by engaging with international organizations that are working on facilities to support physical impediments. Currently DEKNA is investigating the effectiveness and feasibility of using 3D printers to produce upper-limb prosthesis.
