He is preceded in death by his parents, son Sidney "Tommy" Thompson, a sister Hellen Castorino, and a great grandson Skyler Maghe. She is survived by her nephew William Trey Pumphrey & wife Karen of Brookeland; a niece Rebecca Hamilton & husband Jerry of Brookeland; and a sister Julie Knowles of Jasper. Bill loved serving his community, playing his guitar, cooking, and spending time with his family. Jerry grew up and at the age of 18 enlisted in the United States Army. The family will greet friends on Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Fisher Road Baptist Church in Baytown with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 11:00AM. His relationship with God was always a private matter to John Ray. He is survived by his brothers Frankie Jack Ogden Jr. & wife Stella Lynette of Brookeland, Bruce Ogden of Quinlan, Texas, and Roger Ogden of San Diego, California; sisters Anna Jill Fondren & husband Larry of Athens and Vickie Gernon of Doucette; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He had to do every job perfectly, and he was that way in every facet of his life. She is survived by her daughter Lynne Rivera & husband Reggie of Sam Rayburn; son-in-law Robert Rhames of Jasper; grandchildren Stacy Shultz & husband David of Jasper, Mandy Seybold & husband John of Jasper, Grant Rivera & wife Katherine of Mandeville, Louisiana, and Kelly Williams & husband Scott of Beaumont; as well as great grandchildren Haley Shultz, Maggy Seybold, Blake Shultz, Miley Seybold & Charlotte Rivera. She is survived by her daughters Belinda Broussard, Anna Broussard and Evon Withrow & husband John all of Jasper; her grandchildren Amy Broussard, Christie Clifton, Donovan Harvey & Karissa Barnett; and a great grandchild Janna Broussard. He is survived by his loving and caring wife of 43 years, MaryEllen Trammell of Burkeville, TX; his son Ronny Trammell and wife Renee of Willis, TX; his daughter Megean Martinez and husband Steven of Jasper, TX; and daughter Sarah Trammell of Burkeville, TX. The family will greet friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Shultz Funeral Home in Jasper. He was born on February 13, 1944 in Columbus, Mississippi. She and her husband owned and operated The Christian Book Store in Jasper for many years. She grew up in Beaumont and was a member of the French High School Buffalo Belles Drill Team, where she served as lieutenant. She attended Lonnies School of Hair Design and later became an instructor for the school teaching various techniques of hair design and styling too many hair stylist in the Beaumont and surrounding area. He worked in the construction industry and was self-employed. On August 5, 2006, Sarah married the love of her life, Chris, and they built a beautiful life together with their three girls, Hannah, Sophia, and Amanda. A mother, grandmother and great grandmother she is survived by her sons Ross Simmons & wife Kay of Woodville, James Simmons of Littlefield, and Lewis Simmons of Oren, Utah; grandchildren Christian Simmons, Jessica Huber, Melissa Drake, Callis Richardson, Sarah, Melissa Dolbee & Billy Simmons; as well as numerous great grandchildren. She worked for Jasper Animal Hospital as a veterinarian assistant. He also served his country in the United States Marines, where he served for ten years and served two tours in Vietnam.
